Opening event- information release

A new and innovative village amenity is about to be opened in Easton on the Hill; a Labyrinth and Peace Garden in the newly extended churchyard of All Saints church.

The result of 4 years of planning and fundraising and 11 weeks of construction, this installation is intended to be a place of contemplation and reflection for everyone, and will become a destination for villagers and visitors alike.

The Labyrinth and Peace Garden will be officially opened on Sunday July 29th from 2.00pm,when we will be joined by representatives of our funders and supporters, including the Chair of East Northamptonshire District Council and Bishop John Flack. Following the opening, by long serving village stalwart Harold Gregory, we will be placing a time capsule beneath the central stone of the labyrinth. Everyone will then be invited to walk the labyrinth before returning to a marquee on the adjacent Bowls Green for a tea party with

entertainment from a jazz band and local singers “Harmony on the Hill”.
